Prof. Dr. Christoph von der Malsburg is a Senior Fellow at the Frankfurt Institute for Advanced Studies researching neural networks and computer vision and Scientific Advisor for KuppingerCole. After his doctorate in particle physics he taught neurobiology at the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry in Göttingen and held a professorship in neuroscience, computer science, physics and psychology at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles in 1987. In 1990 he was involved in the founding of the Institute of Neuroinformatics at the Ruhr University Bochum.
